Video Game Photography

Just when you thought you were going to be squeezed out of a job thanks to advanced digital cameras, camera phones, and video, you now have something else to threaten your job: video game screenshots.  It is an emerging art form, where one can take a freeze frame of the game.   The big thing that this form of imaging has that "normal" photography does not is its ability to add the fantasy to it.  You are able to manipulate things like gravity, lighting, etc.   You simply just put your character (if you want one) in position, move the camera where you'd like and hit screen capture.   To me, its more of a cross between photography, graphic design and painting.   I am not a gamer, but I think something like this could make me become one.  If you'd like to check out some of these "photos", check out Dead End Thrills.  They showcases hundreds of video game images.
