Feature Photographer- Rochus Hess

courtesy of Rochus Hess

You all already know that I am a fan of Astrophotography.  I love the way space looks.  (Ever notice how much pictures of space look like the stuff you see in a microscope?  How the super-big resembles the super-small?)  Anyway, when looking up Astrophotography on Wikipedia, I found the work of Rochus Hess.  He is an astrophotographer in Germany who's got some AMAZING photos.  His website is in German, so you'll have to translate it.  But it's worth it.  The pictures speak for themselves.  He shoots with an ATiK CCD camera and he uses a 1200mm f4/8 telescope among other things. He started with pretty much a love of astronomy.
